It's August already. Skwalas long gone. Ditto for salmonflies. PMDs on the major decline. Tricos? Yep, they're in play. But the major game at this stage of summer is matching terrestrial insects, such as ants, beetles and hoppers, and deep-diving on the morning and evening caddis action. No matter where you live in the PNW or Rockies, this is likely the biggest game in town right now. To offer a little stoke, we're revisiting Project In The Wild video #29 from years past. This vid serves as your invitation to search out new water, see what's out there, and enjoy your summer fishing before it's all long gone. -- HOF
