A NAME THAT PROPERLY SUITS ITS LEGACY
Super-fast, responsive, light-in-hand, The Saga is packed with everything you could imagine in a high-end fly rod. The Saga had nearly three years of development and field testing before it was ready to manufacture. It started with a mission to create a legitimate saltwater rod that was extra fast and flat shooting. It needed to be light in hand, punchy, and quick to recover, capable of making long and straight shots on one back cast. The Saga is built around quality components and service that can be trusted on trips across the world.
PREMIUM TECHNOLOGY
All models were built around a high-end multi-modulus carbon blank construction utilizing graphene resin to support a greater strength-to-weight ratio and crisp recovery. The construction design of the blank minimizes the effect of a traditional spine and reduces twisting or weak spots in the backbone of the rod that can influence the overall action and precision of the rod. The combination of materials and construction limits the frequency or wobble in the tip sections (recovery). This improves control for shooting further and keeping accuracy tight. We keep the blanks as close to their natural state as we can, with only a lightly sanded and clear coated finish to maintain the raw integrity and action of the blank. The raw carbon fibers are sourced from both Japan and the United States. The blanks are developed, constructed, and finished in South Korea. All said, this is the most advanced and powerful blank we have in our lineup.
DETAILS
U.S.A. Partnership: We’ve partnered with REC® Components, one of the only U.S. makers of high-end rod components.
Top-Tier Guides: Features Cerecoil™ nickel titanium stripper guides + Recoil® nickel titanium single-foot guides with Black Pearl PVD coating for durability and slickness.
The Titanium Advantage: Virtually unbreakable, lightweight, and rust/corrosion resistant. Lighter wire frames and single-foot guides reduce rod weight, improve balance, and enhance blank recovery.
Replaceable Ceramic Rings: Cerecoil™ guides allow quick at-home or in-field ceramic ring replacement without full guide removal.
Failsafe Fishing: If ceramic cracks, the titanium frame remains fishable until replaced.
Premium Cork Handle: Flor-grade cork in quarter inch rings for smoothness and durability; rubber cork composite ends for added strength.
Detailed Design: Epoxy-coated top ring, signature triple-wrap handle swell, composite butt section for durability.
Model Ranges: Freshwater Models (5–6wt) Great for trout and delicate carp presentations; spalted maple wood spacer with double up-locking aluminum hardware. Saltwater Models (7–11wt) Built for strength with full aluminum reel seat and larger butt section for leverage.
